I-B-2 Adjustments to Practice
Linked is page on our website to new attendance policies for the different ensembles within the chorus program. The policies were created in consultation with the students of the Chorus Executive Committee to improve overall attendance at school and in rehearsals.
|
Linked is a the participation rubric I use to grade students in choruses classes. Chorus students are mainly graded on participation, so it is productive to be specific about each element of participation for their final quarterly participation grade. There are four categories for participation, each worth twenty-five points to make a full 100% for participation. The example linked includes comments to help improve attendance.

Linked above are the score sheets from Ingrid Sound performance at the Varsity Vocals ICHSA competition, February, 2019. These rubrics and comments are immediately shared with students to make adjustments and improve for future competitions.

Linked is a student's scoresheet from the MMEA All-State audition. This particular student was selected to the All-State Chorus Each student who auditioned for Northeast Districts and All-State received a personal email from me with their scoresheet and whether or not they were selected.

Additional Evidence
Project Based Learning ExampleLinked to the right is a video of a project given to the students in the Spring of 2018. Students in the class were split into groups of five and were assigned a project to choose a song, arrange and learn it, and perform it for the class.
The project was filmed and edited by a student to capture all facets of the process. |
