Alex Grover | Choral Director
​Director of Concert Chorus, Falconize A Cappella, and Skywave A Cappella
Alex is in his twelfth year as the Choral Director at Danvers High School.  He directs the Concert Chorus and the program's a cappella ensembles he founded, Falconize and Skywave. Alex's a cappella ensembles have consistently placed and received awards at Varsity Vocals ICHSA competitions, been nominated for Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards, and selected to Best of High School A Cappella albums.  Alex has traveled with his ensembles to New York, Memphis, and Orlando for competitions and festivals.  Outside of teaching, Alex enjoys reading, movies, and spending time with his wife, Annie, and son, Malcolm. Alex holds a B.A. in Music from Wheaton College (MA), a Masters of Music in Music Education from Boston University, and a certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Teacher Leadership from Brandeis University.  

​Ivy O'Connell | Assistant A Cappella Director
Ivy recently graduated Berklee College of Music in Boston with a major in Music Education and minor in Musical Theatre performance. Prior to Berklee, she graduated from Danvers High School, and was heavily involved in both the chorus and a cappella program, and participated in both regional and state chorus festivals. Ivy has always enjoyed listening to a cappella and was thrilled to be a member of the ensembles in high school. She loves arranging, and has recently become more involved in audio and video production since the pandemic began. In her free time, Ivy enjoys singing in choirs, playing piano, and dancing.
